Get Rid of Tummy Fat Fast!

2

Planning to get rid of tummy fat that has been building up around your middle for some time now? Sure you are. In fact, almost everyone is – planning, that is. But the part where you actually get around to doing it? Now, that is a whole different ball game.

Before even attempting to tackle this seemingly paramount task, you must first understand the physiology behind it.

First up is genetics. There are two main body types: the pear and the apple shaped. It's a no brainer, really. If you are the type of person that stores fat around the belly, then you are apple-shaped (Yes, the fruit.) If you store fat elsewhere, say on your thighs, then you are the latter. Between these two types, of course it is the apple-shaped individual who has the tummy fat problem.

Second on the incriminating list is slowed metabolism. Again, along with genetics, there really is no way around this. Everyone's metabolism slows down with age. There is just no denying or escaping this daunting fact of life.

The succeeding factors, however, are the modifiable ones. These include stress, unhealthy eating habits and lack of exercise. These, you have full control over and it is high time that you give them more than just that brief glance of attention.

Stress is one of the major culprits to almost all the health conditions a person may have in his lifetime. An occasional bout of stress here and there is acceptable. But if your body has been subject to countless, and even unnecessary, periods of stress, then you might end up with not just a pot belly but with a few other complex-sounding medical conditions as well.

Eat better. Cut down on those foods that give you no nutrients but add loads of calories. Concentrate on having a healthy balance of carbohydrates, protein, and fats. Focus on whole grain, fish, poultry, fresh fruits, and vegetable. Learn about calories and on how much you should be having every day. Cut back on your calories gradually. Remember, it takes approximately 3500 calories to burn off a pound of fat. So, by cutting 500 calories off your diet every day, you can trim your weight down by a pound every week!

Last but definitely not the least, exercise. If a trip to the gym is not exactly your cup of tea, improvise. Walk the dog instead or take up a sport, like swimming, tennis, or even golf. Just enough to keep you off that couch and on your feet.

There are no short cuts to get rid of tummy fat but if you keep fast to the regimen, the results will be well worth it.
