Hoodia Gordonii

Man the weight is just falling off of me, LOL. Yesterday I rode my bike 2 miles in the morning and 2 miles after dinner. I did my usual 200 crunches in the morning and that was all as far as exercise for the day. Evidently it was enough.

Today's weigh in: 309.6 lbs. That's 9.4 lbs for the month and 40.4 for the year.

I am less than 11 pounds away from my mid year weight loss target with 32 days to go.

Yesterday I had cereal for breakfast, an apple for mid morning and mid afternoon snack, I had a salad with raspberry walnut vinaigrette for lunch, and I had a bratwurst and baked potato for dinner. Notice that dinner was about as fattening as you can get. I even had butter on my baked potato. The lesson here is:

You can eat the things you like if you implement portion control and are willing to do 30 minutes worth of exercise everyday. It's simple common sense with a little self discipline.

I am still trying to wean myself off of the Hoodia Gordonii. I only take it once in the morning and so far I haven't had really bad hunger pangs in the evening. That has always been my biggest problem. Once I gave in to hunger, which would usually occur in the evening when I was watching TV, I would stuff my face right before I went to bed. Big No No!

I think that my body has grown accustomed to the small portions and I am going to go cold turkey beginning in June. I would prefer not to take any supplements, aside from vitamins, if I don't have to. The Hoodia Gordonii really helped me out when I began this program. I was used to eating really big meals a couple times a day instead of 5 or 6 small snacks. The Hoodia kept me from feeling ravenous.

I resumed my test with the early morning cardio yesterday. I got up and did 2 miles on the bike. Then I knocked out 200 sit ups on the Ab Roller. I also rode the bike another 2 miles after dinner, but didn't do any more sit ups.

Today's weigh in: 317.6 lbs. That's 1.4 lbs for the month and 32.4 lbs for the year.

Yesterday I had cereal for breakfast, an apple for mid morning and mid afternoon snack, and a pork chop for lunch. For dinner my wife made a Venezuelan dish that is rice with seafood, mushrooms, green peepers, onions, cilantro, and who knows what.

Yummmmmm, Yummmmm, I couldn't help myself…I ate 2 big bowl fulls.

I think that portion control is one of the major factors in a successful weight loss program. If you have been following this blog, you know that I still eat things that people consider to be very fattening. The difference is that instead of eating 2 plate fulls of lasagna, I only eat half a plate full and fill up on veggies. If you are consistent with your portion control, you will find that you become accustomed to just eating a little and don't feel as hungry.

If it is really hard for you to control yourself in the beginning, you may want to try using Hoodia Gordonii like I do. That has always been my biggest problem. When I was growing up, we always ate very little during the day and then pigged out at dinner. It is hard to break old habits. Hoodia keeps me from feeling starved and when I do eat a little, I feel full quickly.

I finally finished the Hoodia Gordonii info page. If you are considering using the herb as an appetite suppressant, you want to give it a looksie so that you can make an informed decision. I did a lot of research before I purchased my first bottle and you should too. My research has revealed that 80% of all Hoodia products on the market are counterfeit! Please be careful and take the time to do your homework. Click on the link under "Browse My Blog" to learn more.

I apologize for not posting the last couple of days. I was busy working on the page and attending to some of my internet marketing stuff. I am working on a new product that I am going to be launching on clickbank soon and it is a lot of work getting things ready for my potential affiliates. I am on a low budget so I am doing most of the work myself. Anyhow, back to the weight loss program.

Today's official wiegh in: 327.0 lbs. That's .6 lbs for the month and 23 lbs for the year.

The last couple of days have been fairly normal. It has been raining in the evenings so I haven't walked or road the bike. I have done at least 400 situps everyday and worked out on the Total Gym Tuesday. Yesterday I finally made the time to try the Yoga workout. The first time I watched it, my impression was that it looked like a good stress releiver…and it was. I slept like a rock last night and my body was void of aches and pains when I went to bed. I have a degenerated lower disc and my feet always hurt (because I'm a fat ass) so I it is normal for me to always have some discomfort. It is amazing how you become accustomed to certain things.

The thing that suprised me about the Yoga routine was that it was quite the workout and an exercise in balance. I took karate as a teen. When I first started karate I was amazed how bad my balance was. It became evident the first time I attempted a "cata", which is a series of moves performed as a sort of dance routine. I would have never thought that doing a series of "poses" would be such a workout. I especially like the way I felt afterwards. It had a very calming effect on the mind as well as the body.

The last couple of days my eating has been routine. A peice of fruit, carrots, or celery for both snacks and lunch. I always have a bowl of cereal for breakfast. Tuesday I had stew meat with noodles cooked in the crock pot. Wednesday we had spagetti for dinner and last night I had clam chowder and a turkey sandwich. As usual, we popcorn in the evenings.

I did better than expected for March and gained back some of the ground I lost in Feburary. I still lost weight in Febuary but failed to make the required 8 lbs. per month that I need to lose if I am going to drop 100 lbs. this year.

The official weigh in for end of March: 327.6 lbs. that is a total loss of 9.4 lbs for the month and 22.4 lbs for the year.

I should have lost 24 lbs for the year, (actually 25, I have to gain an extra pound per quarter), but I am happy with the results so far. I slipped in Feburary and if I can manage to lose 10 lbs or more in April, I will be back on track. I know from experience that it will get easier with time. Your body adjusts to the increased activity and the healthy eating. Your metabolism responds to the exercise and the weight starts to come off at a quicker rate. This is also helped along by the increase in muscle mass. Remember what I said about muscle burning fat? Even if you are not lifting weights, walking and doing sit ups (or whatever exercise you have picked to target the area where you wish to lose fat) still builds muscle. The key is to stick to your program and slowly but surely the weight will come off.

Yesterday I had ceral for breakfast, an apple for a mid-morning snack, carrot sticks for lunch, and a banana for a mid-afternoon snack. My son had soccer practice so we ate dinner early at 5:30. I had a pork chop and a baked potatoe. Later that evening, I had some popcorn. I did my usual 200 situps before I went to work and another 200 later in the evening. I didn't ride the bike or walk. I haven't tried the yoga work out yet either…maybe tonight I'll get a chance.

I promised to reveal my secret weapon by the end of the month. I am working on a page to inform you of the in's and out's and what to watch out for. I am not finished with the page but I will go ahead and spill the beans. I have been taking Hoodia Gordonii. Hoodia is a South African cactus that supresses the appetite. That is all it does. It keeps you from feeling hungry. Please do not rush out and buy some Hoodia without doing some research. That is why I am working on an informative article for you.

Hoodia has taken the weight loss industry by storm and with the storm has come a hurricane of scammers selling everything, including sawdust, and calling it Hoodia. The only real Hoodia Gordonii comes from the Kalahari desert in South Africa. I promise to hurry up and finish my article so you will know what to look for and how to avoid these immoral people that wish to seperate you from your hard earned cash. Look for a link in the column to the right under the "Browse My Blog" heading.

For those of you who just can't wait, you can check out what I use and know to be the real deal. It's a product called Desert Burn. The company has been selling Hoodia since 2004 and is listed with the BBB. They also have all of the required certifications and their products under go random testing by a third party laboratory.
