Yesterday was full of activity. I started out with 200 crunches on the Ab Roller, I played a round of golf at the Par 3 course down the street, took the family to the swimming pool for a couple hours, and rode 3 miles on the bike. I fininshed out the evening with another 200 situps.
Today's weigh in: 325.6 That's 2 lbs for the month and 24.4 for the year.
I had scrambled eggs for breakfast, and an apple later for a morning snack. I had 3 chicken legs for lunch, when I got back from golfing, and I had some macaroni and cheese with hamburger for dinner. We had our usual popcorn snack in the evening. As always, I drank a lot of water. I can't stress the importance of drinking the water enough.
If you have been following this blog, I hope you see the importance of sticking to your plan. The weight loss that I have on a daily basis is minimal but over time it adds up. I am losing weight naturally and safely. You are losing fat and it is not weight that you will gain back in a couple days. Losing large amounts of weight rapidly is not good for your body. These kinds of diets normally cause you to lose large amounts of water which is very heavy. Once your body rehydrates, the weight comes back with it. You are not really burning the fat off.
Sorry about not posting yesterday. I got up early and loaded up the wife and kids for a day at the beach. Sanibel Island is only a 10 minute drive from where I live. We normally just go to fort Myers beach, which is a little bit closer, but the kids wanted to go to one of the nature preserves on Sanibel. The wife and I were all for it. The preserve has a cool little museum, a butterfly house, and miles of walking trails. Somtimes you see alligators and there is a family of eagles that live in a man made nest.
I really got a good workout on the walking trails. I don't know how far it is but we walked for a good 2 hours and the better part of that was with my 3 year old daughter on my shoulders. We also spent 2 or 3 hours on the beach. I mostly relaxed on the beach but did spend a little time tossing the football around with my 8 year old. I didn't do my situps in the morning, but made up for it in the evening. I did a total of 400 before I went to bed.
Friday I did my normal routine except that we went to Sweet Tomatoe for dinner. I limited my intake to 2 plate fulls of salad. I did't eat any frozen yougurt like normal and no bread or pasta. I did have a bowl of tortillia soup. I made up for it when I got back. The wife and I walked 2 miles and I hit the total gym as well. I rounded off the evening by running through the yoga routine.
Today's official weigh in 325.8 lbs. That's less than a pound away from 25 lbs. for the year and 1.8 lbs. for the month.
I have a feeling the weight is really going to start coming off faster. I can really feel an increase in my energy levels, which is a good indication that my metabolism is cranking up. This is what happens when you start a program and stick to it. I think most people fail because they get a week or two into it and don't see the results they want and give up. If you stick with your plan, you will succeed. It would have been very easy for me to give up at the end of February. I failed to meet my goal by 3 lbs. I stuck to it and mad up almost have of that loss in March. In a day or so, I will have broken the 325 lb mark and feel very confident that I will reach if not surpass my goal of 317 by the end of April.
I finally finished the Hoodia Gordonii info page. If you are considering using the herb as an appetite suppressant, you want to give it a looksie so that you can make an informed decision. I did a lot of research before I purchased my first bottle and you should too. My research has revealed that 80% of all Hoodia products on the market are counterfeit! Please be careful and take the time to do your homework. Click on the link under "Browse My Blog" to learn more.
I apologize for not posting the last couple of days. I was busy working on the page and attending to some of my internet marketing stuff. I am working on a new product that I am going to be launching on clickbank soon and it is a lot of work getting things ready for my potential affiliates. I am on a low budget so I am doing most of the work myself. Anyhow, back to the weight loss program.
Today's official wiegh in: 327.0 lbs. That's .6 lbs for the month and 23 lbs for the year.
The last couple of days have been fairly normal. It has been raining in the evenings so I haven't walked or road the bike. I have done at least 400 situps everyday and worked out on the Total Gym Tuesday. Yesterday I finally made the time to try the Yoga workout. The first time I watched it, my impression was that it looked like a good stress releiver…and it was. I slept like a rock last night and my body was void of aches and pains when I went to bed. I have a degenerated lower disc and my feet always hurt (because I'm a fat ass) so I it is normal for me to always have some discomfort. It is amazing how you become accustomed to certain things.
The thing that suprised me about the Yoga routine was that it was quite the workout and an exercise in balance. I took karate as a teen. When I first started karate I was amazed how bad my balance was. It became evident the first time I attempted a "cata", which is a series of moves performed as a sort of dance routine. I would have never thought that doing a series of "poses" would be such a workout. I especially like the way I felt afterwards. It had a very calming effect on the mind as well as the body.
The last couple of days my eating has been routine. A peice of fruit, carrots, or celery for both snacks and lunch. I always have a bowl of cereal for breakfast. Tuesday I had stew meat with noodles cooked in the crock pot. Wednesday we had spagetti for dinner and last night I had clam chowder and a turkey sandwich. As usual, we popcorn in the evenings.
I did better than expected for March and gained back some of the ground I lost in Feburary. I still lost weight in Febuary but failed to make the required 8 lbs. per month that I need to lose if I am going to drop 100 lbs. this year.
The official weigh in for end of March: 327.6 lbs. that is a total loss of 9.4 lbs for the month and 22.4 lbs for the year.
I should have lost 24 lbs for the year, (actually 25, I have to gain an extra pound per quarter), but I am happy with the results so far. I slipped in Feburary and if I can manage to lose 10 lbs or more in April, I will be back on track. I know from experience that it will get easier with time. Your body adjusts to the increased activity and the healthy eating. Your metabolism responds to the exercise and the weight starts to come off at a quicker rate. This is also helped along by the increase in muscle mass. Remember what I said about muscle burning fat? Even if you are not lifting weights, walking and doing sit ups (or whatever exercise you have picked to target the area where you wish to lose fat) still builds muscle. The key is to stick to your program and slowly but surely the weight will come off.
Yesterday I had ceral for breakfast, an apple for a mid-morning snack, carrot sticks for lunch, and a banana for a mid-afternoon snack. My son had soccer practice so we ate dinner early at 5:30. I had a pork chop and a baked potatoe. Later that evening, I had some popcorn. I did my usual 200 situps before I went to work and another 200 later in the evening. I didn't ride the bike or walk. I haven't tried the yoga work out yet either…maybe tonight I'll get a chance.
I promised to reveal my secret weapon by the end of the month. I am working on a page to inform you of the in's and out's and what to watch out for. I am not finished with the page but I will go ahead and spill the beans. I have been taking Hoodia Gordonii. Hoodia is a South African cactus that supresses the appetite. That is all it does. It keeps you from feeling hungry. Please do not rush out and buy some Hoodia without doing some research. That is why I am working on an informative article for you.
Hoodia has taken the weight loss industry by storm and with the storm has come a hurricane of scammers selling everything, including sawdust, and calling it Hoodia. The only real Hoodia Gordonii comes from the Kalahari desert in South Africa. I promise to hurry up and finish my article so you will know what to look for and how to avoid these immoral people that wish to seperate you from your hard earned cash. Look for a link in the column to the right under the "Browse My Blog" heading.
For those of you who just can't wait, you can check out what I use and know to be the real deal. It's a product called Desert Burn. The company has been selling Hoodia since 2004 and is listed with the BBB. They also have all of the required certifications and their products under go random testing by a third party laboratory.
I had to weigh myself 5 times this morning because I couldn't believe my eyes. Either my scale needs new batteries, it's broken, or the momentum I was talking about yesterday is beginning to snowball.
Official weigh for today: 327.4 lbs. That is a 1.8 lb drop from yesterday. I have now lost 9.6 lbs for the month for a total of 22.6 lbs. for the year.
If I can keep this up for the next few days I will not only meet my target goal, I will exceed it. I changed my routine up a little yesterday by accident. I got to work and realized that I had left my lunch sitting on the kitchen counter. So I decided to go to Subway for lunch and get a club sandwich. I didn't have anything to eat for my morning and after noon snacks so I did without. My luch plans got changed with a phone call.
I am an electronics technician that works on automated welding machines. I recently started working for another company and am cuurently in the process of upgrading their machines with newer technology. The salesman that works for the company where we buy this technology just happened to be in the neighborhood and gave me a ring to ask if I wanted to go to lunch on his dime. What perfect timing! So I ended up eating grilled mauhi mauhi, wild rice, and green beans at Bahama Breeze instead of Subway. For dinner I had vegetable soup and plantains with white cheese, a Venezuelan specialty. I also had my usual popcorn snack in the evening. You need to also keep in mind that I drink at least a gallon of water everyday without fail. This is very important and I sometimes fail to mention it.
I did my usual 400 situps yesterday and the wife and I walked 2 miles. I had a nice 15 minute stretching session before going to bed and burned up a few calories before I went to sleep. (If you get my drift)
