My Weight Loss Train De-Railed, But I Am Back On Track

The biggest problem that people have with weight loss programs is staying on them. Well I am know different from anybody else. If you have been following this blog then you know that this is my first post in over 2 months. I got within 5 pounds of my mid-year goal of 300 pounds and then gained 10 pounds.

I just read my previous post about how I was going to double my efforts to get back on track. The truth of the matter is that I haven't done squat in the past 2 months. I moved from Fort Myers to Palm Beach Gardens along with my company. The new building wasn't ready yet, so I was living in a hotel during the week, working in Fort Myers and driving back to Palm Beach Gardens. I did this for about a month.

I used this inconvienience as an excuse to not do my exercising and stay on my weight loss program. The company is now moved 100% and I am in Palm Beach Gardens full time, but I still haven't resumed my weight loss program. You might be wondering why I am telling you this. The reason is so that you can see that it's OK to not meet your goals. The important thing is that you don't use it as a reason to quit.

Starting this evening, when I finish writing this post, I am going to dig my AB Roller out of the closet and continue where I left off with my program. Today I scoped out a nice route for my daily bike ride and will begin in the morning with that.

Just because you have had a set back is not a reason to give up. You should turn it into motivation to try harder. Don't be one of the people that doesn't make it. Maybe I won't lose 100 pounds this year, but I can still lose 75.

Here is the good news. I stepped on the scales the other day and I haven't gained any of the weight back. I will wait for tomorrow mornings official weigh in to post, but I am still in the 315 neighborhood. I attribute this to the good eating habits that I have developed during the first half of the year.

Remember, it's all about changing your life style. You develop good habits now and you will be happy and healthy for the rest of your life.
